Direct, empathic, collaborative, trauma-informed. The purpose of therapy, from my perspective, is working to gain understanding about yourself and the underlying rationale for what makes you you so that you can take steps to be the best version of yourself. I tailor my approach to each individual's unique needs and work with them to actively restructure the patterns of thought and behavior that are keeping them stuck and unhappy, allowing them to move through life with a greater sense of freedom, clarity, confidence and purpose. My ultimate goal is to empower individuals to live fuller, more satisfying lives.

I am skilled with various counseling services, including individual therapy sessions, couples therapy, family therapy, parenting support programs, and relationship coaching. As a single mother of two, one with special needs. My strong suit is to specialize in working with mothers with understanding and compassion by genuinely providing empathy with the stress and pressures of balancing work and family life. College can be exciting, overwhelming, and everything in between. It’s a time of big changes, big questions, and a lot of pressure—about who you are, where you belong, and whether you’re doing “enough.” I work with college students who are navigating anxiety, body image struggles, perfectionism, and that nagging feeling of not measuring up, even when everything seems fine on the outside. If you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or just off, therapy can be a space to slow down and figure out what’s really going on. Together, we’ll explore what matters to you and what helps you feel more like you. My approach is warm, supportive, and down-to-earth. Whether you’re on campus or away, we’ll work together to help you feel more confident, grounded, and connected—both to yourself and the life you’re building.

At The Centered Self (CSP), our interest in the practice of psychotherapy is founded in the idea that all people want to be the best version of themselves and are capable of achieving that-- whatever that may mean to them. We want to help individuals cope with the challenges that can interfere with achieving their goals and what they want for their lives. All humans struggle and fall short of their own ideals at times, learning to successfully cope through these moments of difficulty can lead to a more fulfilling life and an ability to thrive more completely during moments of success. We believe the most caring and compassionate thing that we can do as therapists and coaches is help our clients achieve their own goals. Sometimes this requires pushing towards change and other times it requires working on acceptance. We value creating a warm and validating environment for you to feel safe to focus on your own growth. The Centered Self is anti-racist and LGBTQIA affirming. We are dedicated to utilizing interventions and skills based in science so that we can most effectively help you reach your goals. We value you.

Hi, I’m Paige. I’m a Therapist (APCC) with three years of experience providing school-based mental health services to teenage clients. I specialize in working with neurodivergent and/ or LGBTQ+ clients across California through telehealth, as well as offering in-person sessions in Culver City. I bring lived experience into my work. I understand firsthand how identity, systems, and pressures can intersect in complex ways, and I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, affirmed, and understood. I have extensive experience supporting clients navigating burnout, low “motivation,” impulsive behaviors, relationship stress, and self-esteem challenges. My approach is grounded in relational modalities, and I prioritize building strong, authentic connections with children, teens, and adults to support meaningful and lasting growth. I also believe therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or overly clinical—there’s room for jokes and connection in the process. Looking forward to connecting. Offering Remote all of California or in-person near Culver City.

If you’ve grown up in a family environment where manipulation or emotional abuse was present—particularly from someone with traits of a personality disorder, like narcissism or borderline personality—it can deeply shape how you relate to others. You may find yourself walking on eggshells, constantly adjusting your behavior to avoid conflict. This pattern of hyper-vigilance and people-pleasing often extends to other relationships, leaving you feeling anxious, drained, or uncertain about your own needs. Many of my clients struggle with setting healthy boundaries or asserting their needs, feeling compelled to prioritize the emotional demands of others, as they learned to do in childhood. However, through psychoeducation, we explore how these survival behaviors shape your beliefs about yourself and the world. Understanding where these patterns come from can be the first step in healing. In addition to psychoeducation, I use eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to help shift these survival strategies. EMDR can be highly effective in processing and healing past trauma, allowing you to build self-worth, strengthen your ability to set boundaries and develop healthier ways to relate to yourself and others. Together, we can work toward reclaiming your sense of self and creating more fulfilling, balanced relationships.

Young adulthood is a time of growth, self-discovery, and life transitions. Whether you're in college, starting your career, or navigating relationships, therapy can provide guidance and tools for coping. Together we can discuss things such as relationship difficulties, values, identity, coping with anxiety or depression, body image struggles, connection to oneself and others, and patterns you are maybe starting to notice as you grow. My goal as a young adult therapist, which is similar to that of a teen therapist, is to create a safe relationship for exploration. A place where you can show up without preparation and as exactly who you are.
