Therapists for college students near 94110
New Beginnings Christian Counseling
Students often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by college life, relationships, family expectations, or the pressure to have everything figured out. You may be struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, people-pleasing, stress, loneliness, or difficulty adjusting to a new stage of life. At New Beginnings Christian Counseling, we provide a supportive, faith-based space where college students can slow down, understand what they’re experiencing, and develop healthy ways to cope and grow. Whether you’re navigating academic pressure, relationship challenges, questions about your future, or simply trying to feel more confident in who you are, you don’t have to figure it all out alone. Our goal is to help you feel more grounded, build healthier relationships, and move forward with greater confidence and purpose.
Embark Therapy
I'm Will Michelson, a licensed therapist (LMFT) practicing in West Los Angeles and online across California. My work is depth oriented psychotherapy, which means we don't stop at managing symptoms. We work to understand what drives them, so the change you make actually holds. College and the years around it ask a lot. Anxiety that won't settle, a low mood that flattens everything, grief, loneliness, questions about identity, direction, and who you are becoming. These are not failures of character. Often they are signals pointing toward something that needs attention, and therapy is where you learn to listen. Sessions are 45 minutes, usually weekly, in person at my West LA office near the Sawtelle and Brentwood border or by secure video from anywhere in California. That flexibility suits student life. Many clients meet online during the term and continue without interruption through breaks, moves, and summers. I bring over a decade of clinical experience, drawing on psychodynamic and relational depth work. I also trained theologically at Fuller Seminary, so if faith or spiritual questions are part of your life, there is room for them here, belief and doubt alike. You do not need to be religious to work with me. The first step is a free 15 minute consultation. It is a conversation, not a commitment.
Core Therapy
Core Therapy was founded in 2020 with a simple belief: quality mental health care should be accessible, compassionate, and designed to meet people where they are. What began as a virtual response to a growing need for mental health support has evolved into a diverse team of compassionate clinicians serving individuals, couples, families, and children throughout California. Our practice is rooted in client-centered, culturally responsive care. We recognize that every person comes to therapy with different experiences, identities, challenges, and goals. Our clinicians work to create a supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. As a fully virtual practice, we aim to make connecting with the right therapist easier and more convenient—bringing quality care directly to you, wherever you feel most comfortable. At Core Therapy, our goal goes beyond providing therapy. We strive to reduce barriers, challenge the stigma surrounding mental health, and make therapy feel more human, approachable, and connected.
Inward Healing Therapy
Sometimes Life Feels Harder Than It Should You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure of what comes next as you navigate life’s challenges, relationships, family, work, or all of your responsibilities. Life may look fine from the outside, so no one really knows how much you’re struggling. But internally, you sometimes wonder if you’ll ever figure it all out, achieve the things you want for yourself, or get to a place where you genuinely feel happy and fulfilled. Perhaps you keep finding yourself in the same relationship patterns, struggling to communicate how you truly feel, questioning your decisions, or being hard on yourself. Maybe thoughts or experiences from the past still come up and keep you awake at night. Or all of your stressors and responsibilities play on repeat in your mind. You try to push past them and move forward, but somehow they keep resurfacing. Whatever you’re navigating, you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin therapy. Sometimes you just need a space to slow down, understand what you’re feeling, and have someone help you navigate what comes next. At Inward Healing Therapy, we recognize that who you are and what you’ve experienced cannot be separated from the culture, family, relationships, and communities that have shaped you. Our therapists provide culturally affirming care that honors the identities, values, traditions, and lived experiences that are important to you. Rather than making assumptions about what healing or growth should look like, we work to understand what those things mean for you. Depending on what brings you to therapy, our work may include: - Understanding and managing anxiety, stress, and overwhelming emotions - Building confidence, self-esteem, and a stronger sense of self - Understanding anxious attachment and changing relationship patterns that leave you feeling insecure, stuck, or disconnected - Exploring how family, culture, and emotionally immature or unavailable parents may have shaped the way you see yourself and your relationships - Healing childhood and attachment wounds, trauma, PTSD, and painful relationship experiences - Recovering from narcissistic abuse and rebuilding trust in yourself - Strengthening communication, connection, and emotional security within couples - Developing practical tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence Our therapists draw from evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic Therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, Inner Child Work, attachment-based, multicultural, and relational approaches, tailoring therapy to your needs, experiences, and goals.
Rhea Chowdhary
*Accepting New Clients Online Throughout CA* Figuring out who you are and what you want can feel complicated when you’re surrounded by expectations from the people and world around you. You find yourself overthinking your decisions, putting pressure on yourself to get things right, or worrying about disappointing those closest to you. You may find yourself doomscrolling to disconnect, comparing yourself to others, losing sleep, or taking your stress out on people you care about. Or perhaps painful experiences from childhood or in relationships have left you questioning yourself, feeling anxious, or struggling with the belief that you’re not good enough. In our work together, I provide a space away from all the outside noise where you can slow down to better understand yourself and what you need. We can explore how your environment, past experiences, relationships, and social settings have shaped the way you feel about yourself, the decisions you make, and how you show up in relationships today. Together, we can work through past painful experiences and heal the unhelpful relationship patterns that stem from them. We can build healthier relationships and develop greater clarity about who you are and what you want, so you can move through life with more confidence and self-compassion. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you’re used to figuring things out on your own. You don’t have to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. We’ll build trust over time, take things at your pace, and you’ll never be pushed to share something you’re not ready for. I’d be honored to support you and look forward to connecting with you. Experience: Rhea (pronounced: ree-uh) Chowdhary was born in the Bay Area and grew up in Ohio. She attended Ohio State University and earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She later returned to California, where she earned her Master of Science in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from CSU, Fullerton. Throughout her clinical experience, Rhea has worked with adolescents and adults navigating family conflict, relational trauma, attachment wounds, emotional neglect, and the ways these experiences can impact self-esteem, emotional regulation, and relationships. Her approach is trauma-informed and person-centered, with an emphasis on creating a safe, trusting, and supportive relationship where clients can feel comfortable exploring their experiences and working toward meaningful change. More Than Just My Work In my free time, I enjoy baking sweet treats, taking dance classes, watching TV shows/movies, going to concerts, and doing yoga. Fun fact: I’m really into football, and I’m a fan of the San Francisco 49ers.
Flourish: Individual Couple and Family Therapy
Flourish works best with students and young adults who may look like they’re doing well on the outside but feel stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck underneath it all. Many clients are navigating relationships, family expectations, identity, self-worth, academic or career pressure, major life transitions, or simply trying to figure out what they want their life to look like. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Our goal is to provide a genuine and authentic space where we can make sense of what’s going on, identify patterns that may be getting in your way, and develop practical ways to move toward the relationships and life you want.

Therapy Anywhere
Do things feel off track and overwhelming this semester? Procrastination, imposter syndrome, lack of academic focus, feeling socially awkward, breakups, friend drama, existential fear of what comes after graduation, family conflict, relationship communication breakdown, feeling like everyone else has it together but you, roommate boundary issues, school/work/social out of balance? Yep, that sounds hard. Let's talk. While I do specialize in the treatment of anxiety, ADHD, eating disorders, and life transitions, there may be additional or underlying challenges that cause you to feel frustrated, unmotivated, overwhelmed, ashamed, or sad. Katie Jones
One of the most important parts of therapy is feeling heard, respected, and genuinely understood. I work primarily with college students and young adults who may be struggling with anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, difficult or intrusive thoughts, relationship concerns, or the challenges that come with navigating major life transitions. Whether you are adjusting to college, feeling overwhelmed by academic or social pressures, questioning your path, or trying to figure out what comes next, therapy can provide a space to slow down, better understand what is keeping you stuck, and move toward the life you want to be living. My approach is warm, collaborative, and active. I believe therapy should provide both a space to feel understood and practical tools to help you make meaningful changes. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT). Treatment is individualized to your needs and goals, and we will work together to determine what approach is the best fit for you. I have particular experience working with anxiety and OCD, including intrusive thoughts, rumination, reassurance seeking, perfectionism, relationship concerns, and difficulty tolerating uncertainty. I also work with adolescents and young adults experiencing depression, ADHD, academic or behavioral difficulties, and challenges related to relationships, identity, and life transitions. In addition, I have extensive experience working with individuals and families who are part of the adoption constellation. My background includes work in private practice, community mental health, and public and private school settings, as well as teaching in Boston College's Mental Health Counseling Graduate Program. I have nearly 20 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, college students, young adults, and families. My goal is to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel understood while also helping you develop the skills to approach difficult thoughts, emotions, and situations differently. Therapy isn't about eliminating every uncomfortable feeling or having complete certainty; it's about learning how to respond to challenges in ways that allow you to move forward and live more fully in line with what matters to you.

Suresh Chacko
I provide psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. I work with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, histories of trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, work issues, and low self-esteem. I also work with people who are looking for support in processing and understanding difficulties related to cultural identity. This includes issues pertaining to race, gender, sexual orientation, immigration, and second-generation Americans. Lasting personal change can develop within empathically-attuned relationships. This belief forms the basis for my work. My style is warm and collaborative, with a relational psychodynamic approach. We'll pay close attention to your story and inner experiences while always attending to how things play out in current relationships.
Sarah Korda
Client's that work well with my collaborative style are often people who are struggling with life transitions. I often connect with people who are working to find different methods to manage anxiety and perfectionism. I also hold space in my practice for queer couples.
Loïc Pritchard Psychotherapy
Are you struggling? Are you feeling you have to withdraw from the world or you've lost some of the spark for living? Maybe you consider yourself unconventional in some way. You may feel like it's hard both to be yourself and to get the support you need, as if the message others are giving is "You can be your authentic self or you can have their compassion and understanding, but you can have both." Maybe this has lead to feeling isolated or like others can't truly understand what you're going through. Therapy can help. My focus is helping unconventional people, LGBTQ2SIAA people (with a focus on elders and youth), people in non-traditional relationship configurations (poly, non-monogamous, kinky), and people who are going through pet illness and pet loss. I also focus on helping people suffering from depression and anxiety. By providing a non-judgmental space where you can explore and grow, therapy can help you move towards a more fulfilling, connected, and rich life. Call now for a brief phone consultation--it's the first step towards feeling better in your life. I look forward to hearing form you. www.loicpritchardpsychotherapy.com
