Hi! Welcome to my practice. My name is Wendy Emory, LICSW. You are welcome to look at my profile on Psychology Today. Many clients come to me as they're feeling stuck and something isn't working for them, or alternatively, they're experiencing anxiety and overwhelm, perhaps related to transitions or trauma. Either way, I work to help people access what already exists within them, and help them feel better. I'm certified in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, which is a body based oriented talk therapy used to help people heal from trauma and other relational injuries.

Therapy provides a safe environment to work on the issues and situations that might be hindering your ability to function as you want to. Every client is different, and my goal is to help you feel more able to identify your specific challenges and develop the skills and strategies to manage them. I rely on a strengths perspective and draw predominately from CBT, ACT, and psychodynamic modalities. I help clients with anxiety, depression, problems related to sexual and gender identity, relationship conflicts, illness, grief, and stage of life issues. I am strongly aligned with the LGBTQIA+ community and enjoy working with individuals and couples from all walks of life.
You smile and say “I’m fine” but it's not true. You don’t necessarily know what’s wrong so sometimes you even convince yourself you're OK. You feel overwhelmed trying to balance the demands of being a student, living on your own, preparing for your future, maintaining relationships with family/friends, gaining financial independence, etc. It feels like everybody around you has it all under control. You question whether you're depressed or anxious. Maybe you've learned to cope by scrolling on your phone and self-medicating. You want to learn healthier coping skills. You want to talk to someone who only has YOU in mind. You deserve to find a therapist who will listen, care, support and advocate for you. I have experience working with college-aged students who present with a variety of concerns including: ADHD, anxiety and depression, domestic violence, eating disorders, grief/loss, life transitions, relational conflict, self-esteem issues, stress management, substance use, and trauma. Check out my website to learn more about me! I offer an initial 45-minute consultation free of charge to all potential clients so you can make sure I am a good fit for you. Feel free to contact me by phone or email if you have any questions or if you would like to schedule a consultation.
Hello, my name is Jamie Stacy and I have been a counselor for over twenty years. I understand that seeking therapy takes strength and courage and it can be a transformative decision. Grounded and raised in a Chinese immigrant and Vietnamese refugee family, my roots and experiences have amplified my passion to shatter taboos in the AAPI community. I am committed to raising awareness and access to spaces of healing to communities of color. I will offer you a culturally-responsive, collaborative space to share your story. I aim to apply an anti-oppressive framework at the heart of my practice; and care deeply about the impact of intergenerational and race-based trauma. I value authenticity, transparency, and humor in our journey! The complexities of juggling responsibilities as a student, employee, caregiver, etc., can be super exhausting and I'm here to tell you that I see you! You are more than just a person embedded in an institution and your emotionality should be heard and cared for.
Phoenix Rising Centers breaks barriers in mental health care for BIPOC, QTPoC, and LGBTQIA2S+ communities. Through trauma-informed, anti-racist, and culturally rooted practices, we empower healing, growth, and resilience while confronting systemic inequities.
As we grow and develop life throws at us a series of experiences and challenges. We learn to navigate our environment and relationships through these experiences. As a therapist I have the utmost respect for the ways in which people have approached their lives. It is not my goal to tell someone how to live. My role is to provide a relationship and a dedicated time to think openly about your experience. Sometimes we lose sight of the meaning and spend time trying to convince ourselves of something that may no longer fit. Through empathy and playfulness, I hope to create a space in which people feel safe to explore new ways of being and thinking. I am interested in both what you say and how you say it: the lyrics and the music. We will work together to find new ways of making meaning out of what life offers. In our first meeting I will be very curious to learn about your life and the challenges you are experiencing. We will discuss how you approach your life and identify ways in which you may struggle and succeed in facing difficulties. I will share feedback with you towards the end of the session and spend time planning future steps. I have worked in college and university mental health centers for over 10 years and look forward to continuing my work with students in my private practice.
Perhaps everyone around you thinks you have it all together. Maybe you’re doing it all and managing a smile in the process. But, on the inside, is it chaos? Perhaps you landed here because you’re not just managing to do lists, but fighting that voice in your head that tells you you’re doing it all wrong, and that you’re not good enough. You’re working on boundaries, trying to communicate effectively and desperately trying to connect with those around you while trying to be the best at everything – Are you juggling ALL. THE. TIME? Exhausted, have nothing left to give, and no time for you? Well, not anymore. I’m glad you found me. It’s time to change your worry into hope and fears into strength. You want to mean it when you smile and feel peace when you rest. You want to practice this thing they call self-care and create a balance in your life without the guilt. You want to have meaningful relationships and feel confident in who you are and the path you’re on. I can help. With the ability to reach out anytime, access to secure portal with messaging options, and web based video sessions, you can finally find the time to make yourself a priority from the comfort of your home. I provide web based and self care therapy and coaching for individuals and couples who find themselves in a challenging time and are looking for a Bridge to healthyself.
Hello! My focus is on helping those who are experiencing anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, and PTSD because you deserve to experience joy, connection, ease, peace, and love in your life. Together, you can gain more clarity on how to work with difficult emotions, make peace with your past, and start to feel more confident in your ability to tackle current challenges and work towards goals for your future. **Some schools such as a nationally renowned women's University in the Newton-Wellesley area have encouraged me to become in-network with BCBS PPO, but after checking it out, such students (from similar schools/insurances) pay ONLY $10-20/visit out of pocket MORE than in-network providers!! I fully encourage you to look around to see who else is out there; I believe my greatest strengths = excellent communication, including promptness of responses to concerns, humor, empathy, and a willingness to hear your narrative, attentive yet free of judgment… Check out my reviews at: https://g.page/r/CfP5EFngyBa_EBE Ask your school/insurance or contact my office for additional information regarding reimbursement! ******** Hello, I am Dr. Ronald T Lee, MD, a psychiatrist certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, here to serve your psychiatric needs from the comfort of your home/dormitory, or wherever need be, only limited by technology, not location. As a psychopharmacologist and psychotherapist serving the psychiatric needs of residents throughout all of MA virtually via Telehealth, I would love the opportunity to help you become the best version of yourself by servicing your mental health wellness needs. Problems, conflicts, and stage of life are all quite unique in the college/graduate student experience, unlike any other period of your life. I have been there, myself, at the University of Michigan, Georgetown University, with post graduate training at Harvard University and the University of Connecticut: each of those institutions had their share of academic and personal challenges that, while difficult, would ultimately play a force in shaping me to become the physician and person I am today. Social anxiety and dealing with academic pressures that felt overwhelming, were experiences I can certainly relate to, firsthand. If anything, I wish mental health was not so stigmatized back then, while lamenting, that they still do, not to a degree. At times, especially early in my higher education experience, I did not know or was too embarrassed to ask if there were resources I could turn to. In hindsight, it would have been extremely helpful to have resources that could have helped me understand that those feelings of disorientation and sense of being rudderless in a confusing world, at an especially stressful time, were more typical than I imagined, and manageable with the right resources. It would have been helpful for me to know that I was not alone, with someone guiding me in a nonjudgmental fashion. I would like to be one of those encouraging voices for you, if you will allow me. I suppose what also largely differentiates me from others on this site, would be my ability to prescribe medications, only if needed. I did take an unusual route, changing majors, to eventually attend medical school, in Philadelphia, to obtain my MD, which I am proud of, and allows me to treat students from multiple angles of psychotherapy and/or pharmaco-management (medications)--and I might also have experiences of my own to share for any pre-meds out there really feeling the pressure. Feeling social anxiety, heightened by COVID? I may have been there, in a few different iterations, with some tips, in hindsight. Procrastinating finally catching up to you when it counts? I will plead the fifth amendment to that, ha ha 😁 If this resonates with you, you are seeking treatment as soon as possible, or have tried another provider that has not met your needs, please give my website a look. Consider whether we might be a good mutual fit to help you achieve your best quality of life, during this critical juncture of transition to adulthood. Let's see what we can do together and get started!
Life's challenges can leave us feeling off-balance. As a therapist, I offer a warm, supportive space where you can slow down, reflect and begin to reconnect with yourself as you navigate anxiety, burnout and life transitions. I work closely with individuals from early to late adulthood. I often work with first-generation high achievers who carry strong internal pressure to succeed, manage high expectations and navigate what it means to be “the first” in their family or community. These experiences can bring pride but also anxiety, perfectionism, burnout and a sense of disconnection or uncertainty about where you’re headed. Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, career uncertainty, relationship challenges or major life transitions, including midlife and aging-related changes such as shifting roles, identity questions and reassessing priorities over time. My approach is collaborative, transparent and grounded in trauma-informed and evidence-based practices. I draw from CBT, mindfulness and insight-oriented frameworks always tailoring therapy to your unique experiences and goals. I aim to help you develop practical strategies while also deepening your self-understanding so that change feels meaningful and sustainable. At Equilibria Counseling, we strive to create a space where you can show up as you are.
