Starting therapy can feel overwhelming. I understand the hesitation, so I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, family dynamics, intimate partner violence, and feelings of isolation or disconnection. You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin—just a willingness to show up as you are. Therapy doesn’t require the right words or a clear plan; it begins with having a place where your experiences can be shared openly, without judgment or pressure.

The process of building a therapeutic relationship there has to be a level of comfort and ease with your therapist. This is important in order to be able to be able to talk about incidents from your past that are painful and difficult to face. Therapy is about what you need from your therapist. I use the person-centered approach. Everyone has a story to tell and it is important for you to not feel judged and to feel safe. As a therapist, I take my lead from you and what you want to work on to improve your situation. I believe that I can gain the information I need from you by having a conversation rather than you feeling like you are being interrogated. Your mental health is of the utmost importance to me, and as such, you set the agenda for your sessions as this is your therapy time and about what you need. I work with creatives, musicians, and artists struggling to find satisfaction in their careers and personal lives. I also help executives and professionals who are navigating workplace pressures. After 30 years as a musician and music industry executive, I know how the professional environment can impact your mental health. I provide a space where you can embrace vulnerability and improve communication skills. I can help you navigate imposter syndrome, manage stress, achieve career satisfaction, and navigate the unique pressures of the entertainment industry. Part of that process is “unlearning” the unhelpful dynamics we often unconsciously repeat. My job is to point out these tendencies to help you see why certain issues crop up and gain a new perspective. Together, we’ll collaborate in creating new patterns with better outcomes.

Together, we will complete an intake process to explore your history as well as current events that led you to seek treatment. From there, we will explore a goal or two that you would like to work toward. Throughout the clinical process, we will explore and discuss achievements, milestones, and progress. I like to use a reflective process to ensure you feel as though you are benefiting from sessions. We will engage in some exercises to facilitate discussions and an exploration of growth and development. I genuinely enjoy working with diverse groups of people and age ranges. I started my career working in a therapeutic foster care agency in the South Bronx. This is where the foundation of my practice began. From there, I worked in a hospital setting that was directly related to community outreach. Simultaneously, I worked for an outpatient mental health clinic, providing individual, couples, and family therapy. I am very person-centered and develop genuine connections with my clients in order to create a sense of safety and trust while navigating their reason for coming to treatment. I am very personable and will use humor at times to humanize the client’s experience. I’m a licensed master social worker with a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver. My work is grounded in whole-person care, supporting clients in reconnecting with themselves, navigating relationships, and building emotional resilience. In therapy, I draw from intimacy from the inside out (IFIO), emotionally focused individual therapy (EFIT), and cognitive behavioral therapy. These approaches allow us to explore emotional patterns, understand protective parts, and challenge the thoughts that keep you feeling stuck, especially around sex, identity, and relationships. My clinical focus includes sex therapy, identity development, trauma recovery, and relationship concerns, including polyamory, infidelity, and compulsive sexual behaviors. I have particular experience supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, young adults in transition, and clients navigating shame or secrecy in their intimate lives. Sessions with me are collaborative and grounded. I aim to create a space where you can breathe, reflect, and be fully yourself, without pressure or judgment. Whether you’re processing grief, exploring gender identity, or trying to understand relationship dynamics, I meet you with curiosity and care. You set the pace. I offer tools and insight along the way. Over the years, I’ve worked in settings that span emotional, relational, and systems-based care—from trauma recovery and advocacy to long-term therapy. This work continues to deepen my belief that people are capable of powerful, meaningful change when given a space to feel safe, seen, and supported. What I love most is witnessing those small but profound moments of growth—when someone starts setting boundaries, softens toward themselves, or begins to believe they’re worthy of connection. Therapy is a space for that kind of reconnection. It’s work I feel honored to do. Outside of the therapy room, I value creativity, quiet, and community. I’m passionate about helping people feel less alone, more whole, and more at home in themselves.

Therapy invites room for reflection, healing, and personal growth. Creating a warm and steady space allows clients to explore their thoughts and emotions at a comfortable pace. My style balances honesty with compassion, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Person-Centered work. Trauma-informed care and psychoeducation are woven in to support clients in developing insight and meaningful change. More than two decades in school counseling and additional clinical experience have shaped my work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families from varied cultural and neurodivergent backgrounds. I often support clients navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, and relationship challenges. When working with couples, Gottman-informed strategies guide communication, emotional awareness, and stronger relational foundations. “You do not just wake up and become the butterfly - growth is a process.” ― Rupi Kaur

I value curiosity and connection. I entered this field with an understanding that taking care of our minds is essential to living healthy, fulfilling lives. I am a licensed clinical social worker specializing in relationship issues, stress management, anxiety and life transitions for the adult population. As a therapist with over ten years of experience, my work has allowed me to treat both children and adults. I understand that trust takes time to develop. Regardless of the population, my therapeutic approach aids in navigating potential challenges that arise throughout the lifespan. Life can be overwhelming at any age, and having a trustworthy, neutral person to confide in is ideal. In my experience, I have come to learn that individuals want someone that will listen to them without judgement, which is what I provide. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal and Humanistic Therapy. My approach is non-judgmental, person-centered and collaborative. I am a strong believer that a person's mental health is as equally important as their physical health. Working together, you can expect a safe and non-judgmental environment. I utilize CBT, Humanistic and Interpersonal Therapy, to help clients develop skills that, with consistent application, improve their ability to manage the issues they present with. My style is creating a working alliance , and I modify my approach to each individual's unique goals. My journey to becoming a therapist began with being labeled 'the voice of reason' by friends. I would ask if they wanted someone to vent to, or were they seeking advice. When giving advice, I would take a neutral standpoint of seeing the entire picture, because there can be different perspectives in situations. My neutrality would take precedence, regardless of my personal relationship with the friend. This has deepened my commitment to providing an unbiased perspective to client sessions. I believe in individualization and client self-determination. People come from diverse backgrounds and have a multitude of life experiences, so acknowledging that diversity positively impacts the collaborative nature of the therapeutic relationship I strive to build. I have interests in music, various forms of exercise, arts and crafts, cooking and collecting.

I have many years experience helping people with their emotional problems. I work with individuals of all ages from adolescence to old age. My approach is listening-focused. No two persons who have come to see me have had the same issues and struggles to contend with. So what is needed is close, attentive listening so I can know how you can most benefit from my help. Many patients prefer to focus on the here and now problems they feel most immediately. But others want to explore their root causes in earlier relations and problems. I try to tailor my practice to work at either or both these levels of intensity.
